Worker
Bees and Metamorphosis
Worker Bees (for ages 9-12) and
Metamorphosis (age 12-15) are offerings for young people who like to
gather to deepen their faith, socialize, play games in a large
group, discuss what’s happening in their world, serve those who
are forgotten and powerless, and welcome others to join them as they
live as Christians in the world. Worker Bees and Metamorphosis meet
once a month at Beloved Garden (Worker Bees on Friday night and
Metamorphosis on Saturday night) to eat and watch then discuss a
current movie (movies other than G or PG require parental
permission). On rare occasions, these groups plan other outings.
Once
a month, the combined groups meet together to plan or execute a
human needs outreach event that impact the lives of those who are
forgotten and powerless, especially children and their related
issues. These groups are always led and chaperoned by at least two
adults, male and female, who have undergone criminal background
checks and been certified in awareness and prevention of child
abuse.
