It's time to begin packing those Christmas gift shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a Samaritan's Purse ministry to children who live in areas of intense poverty, illness or suffering. Samaritan’s Purse is an international relief agency headed by Franklin Graham.

Church of the Beloved will be collecting shoeboxes DUE Nov 20. You can pick up shoe box labels from Deacon Deb Blackwood on Sunday.
How to Pack Your Shoe Box:
Find an empty shoe box [if wrapping, wrap lid separately]
Decide if gift will be for boy or girl in the following age categories: 2-4, 5-9, 10-14
Fill box with variety of gifts:
Toys [small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yo’s, jump ropes, small Etch-A-Sketch, toys that light up or make a noise [include extra batteries], slinky, etc]
School Supplies [pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps/ink pad sets, coloring books, writing pads/paper, solar calculators, etc.]
